Art, Fashion, and Live Screen Printing in the Desert.

Coachella 2011 boasts a crazy line up.  If you have not already heard, the huge musical festival that is anxiously awaited every year is almost upon us!  The 12th annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will take place in Indio, Calif., from Friday, April 15, to Sunday, April 17. Kings of Leon will headline on Friday; Arcade Fire will assume headlining duties on Saturday; and Kanye West will end the festival's long weekend of great music on Sunday. There are also some awesome reunions this year, including Big Audio Dynamite, Caifanes, Death From Above 1979, and Suede.

Something cool that happened last year were the many After-parties that were thrown by all kinds of companies.  Armani Exchange threw a crazy carnival themed party with rides, free food and drinks and the coolest part of all Live Screen Printing, courtesy of ink+cotton, a live screenprinting and Event promotion company out of Los Angeles.

Other acts on the lineup include !!!, A-Trak, Animal Collective, Best Coast, The Black Keys, Boys Noize, Bomba Estéreo, Bright Eyes, Broken Social Scene, Cage the Elephant, The Chemical Brothers, Cold War Kids, Cut Copy, Duck Sauce, Duran Duran, Empire of the Sun, Erykah Badu, Fanfarlo, Fat Freddy's Drop, Green Velvet, Interpol, Jimmy Eat World, Kele, Joy Orbison, Lauryn Hill, Leftfield, Lightning Bolt, MEN, Menomena, Moving Units, Mumford & Sons, Nosaj Thing, Omar Rodriguez Lopez (of The Mars Volta), One Day as a Lion (Zack De la Rocha of Rage Against The Machine), The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Phantogram, PJ Harvey, The Presets, Robyn, Sasha, Scissor Sisters, She Wants Revenge, Sven Vath, The Swell Season, Tame Impala, Trentemøller, Twin Shadow, The Twelves, Two Door Cinema Club, Warpaint, Wiz Khalifa, Yelle, and many more bands to satisfy your musical palate.

Is Charlie Sheen pullling off the "I'm Still Here" sequal?

Charlie Sheen obviously has become the center of media attention over the past few weeks.  But is Charles really in charge?  It looks like for ever crazy outburst there is an equally calculated move that puts him closer to a Conan O'Brian style move to freedom.

You might notice that this blog is focused Street Art as a topic, while that might seem normal for alot of people I am bloggin about Art and using Google's AdSense service to monetize the web traffic.  I learned everything I know about AdSense and Google from another blog - http://adsenseanswers.blogspot.com.

Banksy tank for sale

Banksy's art pieces are being sold off almost as soon as they are found.  The first I heard of this was in Los Angeles,  'ole Binky was tagging up the streets in an attempt to win himself an Oscar for his mockumentory "Exit Through The Gift Shop".  Well when he hit the side of building in Santa Monica someone quickly cut the piece of wall off the building and sold the thing on eBay for $8,000.00

Now it seems someone is at it again, the “A Bit Like An Elephant” Tank is for sale.  Banksy recently painted on an old water tank as part of Banksy’s pre-Oscars campaign in LA, is for sale. Banksyelephant.com is attempting to sell the tank. While the site claims that the owners “personally acquired ownership to preserve and protect the work of Banksy in hopes that it will end up exhibited in a respected museum where his work will live on without harm,” I think it’s safe to say that money was a bit of a motivator too. Of course, the Elephant will never get certification from Banksy's own Pest Control and without that, the value of a work drops dramatically.
